Family Outing Gone WRONG!

I really wanted to go the Biloxi Seafood Festival to experience the Gumbo Contest Cookoff and sample all of the different types of gumbo. (If you didn't know..I love gumbo). So we went...and it was an awful, expensive experience.

Lets add the timeline and the money spent....

-1:30pm left house
-Arrived at 2:00pm
-Kasey saw the inflatable slides, asked if she could slide, we said "yes after we eat"
Admission.....................$10 ($5 per adult)
-Gumbo Contest ended at 2:00, even though the website said 3pm
-Started sweating buckets, must find shade asap
Coconut Shrimp plate....$10 (ended up being dry and gross)
Boiled Shrimp...............$6 (actually was really good!!)
2 Hotdogs for kids........$2 (kids didn't eat them, wanted our shrimp)
2 cans of soda..............$4 (Beau spilt 3/4 of his can)
-Kasey  started begging to go slide
-Beau's hair completely saturated from sweat
-Mommy makes the decision to leave, just too hot and crowed
-Kasey has a melt down about not going on the slide
-Mommy and Daddy tried to bribe her with ice cream to leave
-Not working, had to drag her away screaming
Boiled shrimp to go........$6 (it was good shrimp)
-2:55pm Loaded kids in van
-Cranked up A/C
BK Milkshakes...............$4 (as promised)
-Drove home the 20+ miles
Estimated gas spent.......$5

Total Cost.......................$47
Time wasted....................2 hrs
Number of crying kids.....3 out of 3
Level of Fun....................2 out of 10

Only positive thing.....The Boiled Shrimp
