2's of Potty Training

We are still stuck on #2.  The #2 child will not go #2 on the potty. Yesterday we caught him twice (2) hiding in the closet trying to go in his underwear. Once found, we grab him and put him on the potty, where he will set for about 2 mins then try to get up. Then we will make him get back on and offer him 2 pieces of candy if he goes. 2 mins pass and he will try to get up yet again. We will repeat this process at least 2 more times.

Finally we put on a "Pull-Up" diaper and let him finish his #2 business. This is a very frustrating process, and most likely we are doing something wrong. I know Beau is still only 2, but 2 kids using diapers is rough on the wallet. One positive note, we only use 2 Pull-Ups in a 24hr period; I mean he could not be going potty at all. I hope we can overcome this #2 problem.

Ugh, potty training was the worst for me! Long story...but Caleb was 4 1/2 before he started showing any interest in using the toilet. :( Thank heavens Jakey was 10 times easier to train...matter of fact, he almost trained himself. (No lie--and I count that as a huge blessing since Caleb was so stubborn and tough).

Anyway, hang in there! With boys they tend to train later than girls...so you may have to wait it out a while longer. ():) Good luck regardless!
