A New Year = Nothing New

It is a New Year, but nothing seems to be new with us. We are still trucking along the same path we were on in 2010. However, I think 2011 will have its fair share of adventure and challenges. Here are a few things I want to mention...

  1. If you have noticed I have not been updating the blog, because I have been two timing ya. I was recently called as the 1st Counselor in Young Women, and in a effort to reach out to our less activity girls (and also our regulars) we created a YW Blog. I mainly keep it  updated with pictures of our Wed night activities and abridgements of our Sunday Lessons. The girls seem to enjoy their blog. So I  have been distracted from our family blog.
  2. This month I have been working on our 2010 taxes, and this is the first time ever that we have to PAY taxes. However, paying taxes means we had a good year financially. (All the thanks to BP for paying Brad a lot of money to go boat riding looking for oil). However, the BP job was short lived, but we did benefit from that 1 month of BP work.
  3. Right now...it is "Ah, Working out ..Smudgue Out!" We set a goal to start P90X again, but that really didn't happen. It was all me, because I just don't feel the motivation. When it is cold, all I want to do is get under the heated blanket and watch a movie. However, maybe when it starts to get warm I think the motivation will kick in. Thinking about being on a beach with a bathing-suit is great motivation, but when it is cold...being in a bathing-suit is the last thing you want to think about.
  4. The kids are doing great. Kasey is reading small words. Beau's speech is improving, and Zeke is all over the place doing his "army crawl". Just like 2010, the kids keep us on our toes and keep us from completely loosing our minds by flashing a smile or giving us "I love you" from time to time. 90% of the time they drive us crazy but when they give us the 10% of pure sweetness it just nullifies the bad.
