Am I the only one who cannot stand my kids this week?
Since school has let out we have been keeping ourselves busy by traveling, but this week (and next) we will be home trying to get our house ready for the Griggs visit. I haven't accomplished much unpacking or getting things ready because I have been too busy cleaning up after the kids. I feel like I all my efforts and time is spent providing for their needs.
I wish I could add cleaning the house as part of my daily job description but it is not part of my "stay at home" Mom package. I can only handle so much and cleaning takes a backseat, especially when I am part dairy cow.
I am hoping, praying, wishing, whatevering that soon the kids can be more self reliant. Kasey is getting there but the rest have a long way to go. 4 kids is a lot to deal with and I feel like I can handle the kids but I cannot handle the kids AND keep a clean house. It has to be one way or the other.
I think that is why I have been SOOOO frustrated with them this week is because I am trying to do both. The Griggs family may just have to come over to a dirty house, besides with all the kids that will be in the house it will get messy really quick. Just thinking about it, let me count how many kids...holy crap 12 kids ToTo will be here in my house next weekend. There goes my nice new house.
