I always feel like Thanksgiving gets looked over because of Christmas. I love Thanksgiving because it means deep fried turkey and sitting around a table as a family. Plus a chance to reflect on what we are thankful for in our lives. I will be posting something everyday of what I am thankful for until Thanksgiving
So.... to get started:
Day 1:
I am thankful for the opportunity to have nursed my children. Why this? Well, because I have decided to ween Lonnie. This about the time I stop nursing because teeth are coming in and there is the constant distractions and tugging. To be honest...my nips cannot take it any more. Plus Lonnie is waking up every two hours at night so she needs a little heavier milk rather than the skim milk I produce.
I am thankful to have provided those antibodies she needed after birth and thankful for having that bonding time with her. It is always an emotional time when I ween my kids. I feel guilty and it is a little harder this time because Lonnie is the last one.
So the milking cow is out of service for good.
