Thoughts..random and not random

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my last post. It is important to be positive and I wrote that late at night after a long, hard day in the trenches of motherhood.

Few things I wanted to mention...

1) This quote I saw on FB..

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual tolerance, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling busts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting us have the ride."
Gorden B. Hinkely

This is exactly how I feel, however I don't articulate it very well in my own words. Life is great but it is incredible hard.

Now onto Random thoughts..

2) For FHE...we went over fire safety. The kids were upset that all their toys would get burned, especially Kasey who started crying about if her favorite puppy got burned. I told her that we would buy her a new puppy and Kasey said she didn't want a new puppy. So I up the ante and said we would also get her a real cat, if there was a fire and all the toys got burned. Now the kids are coming up with names for the cat!!!

3) This kids have been watching Moses/The prince of Egypt. Here are some conversations that came from watching this movie.

Kasey..."Beau, lets watch Moses"
Beau..."I don't want to watch that movie"
Kasey..."{gasp}Beau, do you hate God?"
Beau..."no"
Kasey..."ok, then we will watch the church movie"

Kids arguing over rewinding the movie to certain parts
Brad..."what is going on?"
Kasey.."I want to rewind it to the plagues song"
Beau..."well, I want to watch them put blood on the door"
Kellie to Brad..."If anyone heard our kids say this they would be wondering what kind of parents we are to let our kids watch morbid things"
