Small Successes

I did not get a chance to go to the RS Broadcast because I was living it up at Myrtle Beach with my sisters. (Post to come later). We skipped Stake Conference because I was not driving a hour to fight my kids for 2 hours in a pew,  instead we went for a family walk and I watched part of the RS Broadcast on the Internet.

I am glad I took the opportunity to listen to the RS Broadcast. I do enjoy listening to Pres. Uchtdorf talks and I just feel like the talk connects to what is going on in my life at this moment. Here is a quote I loved...

Dear sisters, many of you are endlessly compassionate and patient with the weaknesses of others. Please remember also to be compassionate and patient with yourself.
In the meantime, be thankful for all the small successes in your home, your family relationships, your education and livelihood, your Church participation and personal improvement. Like the forget-me-nots(flower), these successes may seem tiny to you and they may go unnoticed by others, but God notices them and they are not small to Him. If you consider success to be only the most perfect rose or dazzling orchid, you may miss some of life’s sweetest experiences.

It is hard to appreciate the small successes whenever your kids are fighting with another and tearing up the house, but the fact the kids are clothed, fed, clean, and happy could be counted as a success. Thank Pres Uchtdorf for the encouragement!
